about pic

She experienced great results and lost twenty pounds, which she had gained from unhealthy eating habits, to fit into her prom dress. Working out made Samantha happy and she achieved a sense of accomplishment. However, consistency was still a problem from time to time. It was not until she started working at a health club and spoke with several trainers that she really started her complete transformation. Samantha will tell you that training not only changed her physically, but saved her confidence and perception of herself as well. Many illnesses are considered genetic, this is well known, and Samantha’s family has a genetic predisposition to diabetes, heart disease, depression, arthritis, joint deterioration, anxiety, obesity, and a few others not to mention. She grew up seeing her loved one’s being struck by illness and, sadly, most of them were considered obese. Immediately, she saw what a profound effect that a simple training and diet program could have on an individual. At 19, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and had chronic pains at night that caused her to fall into a horrible insomnia cycle. Just a few months of training and her pain started slipping away and, suddenly, she could sleep at night.

Sedentary lifestyle led by terrible eating patterns of fast food and processed foods had wreaked havoc on her body, but this sudden consistency in training and change in diet improved her lifestyle from sad and painful to invigorating and joyful once again. Samantha became certified and has been training for over five years in the Northshore area. She will tell you that she is not perfect. The changes she made in her life happened in steps and will say that she believes her true physical transformation is finally now complete after six years of persistence. Persistence was key and is probably one of her favorite virtues. In March of 2006, she began competing in figure competitions. This was a long term goal of hers set forth 3 years prior to competing. Prior to her starting her training, several people were unsupportive and doubted her ability to make such a transformation in her body. Her first competition, she placed 7th out of 18 competitors. Her second, November 4th in Denver, she placed 4th and qualified for Jr. National competitions. In addition to conquering her goal of competing, Samantha was also featured as a model in Best Body magazine with a seven page layout dedicated to an “at home” workout. Samantha will most likely compete again and looks forward to doing more fitness modeling, but her first and main priority remains, and will always be, her clients.
