Yes, during a workout of my own a week ago I was hit by an epiphany (or rather a large shock of lactic acid) that signaled to my brain and made me think, “WOW, this is by far the BEST glute exercise ever!!!” Ladies and gentlemen, there really is 1 exercise that stands between you and a GREAT booty…

Swiss Ball Hip Thrusts.

Sounds girly yes? Well, if girly means having a set of the firmest buns you’ve ever seen…Then sign me up!

This exercise performed for 3-4 sets by 15-20 reps and 2-3 times a week is enough to make you praise the “Glute Gods” for blessing us with this little exercise. Super-set with some squats, lunges, or step-ups and watch the inches fall away.

Don’t take it for granted, it may seem easy, but it actually is very difficult to get the glutes from the floor up into a FULLY extended position. If you’re doing it right, your butt should be tucked in, raised as high as possible off the floor with the hips being in perfect alignment to shoulders and knees (when you watch my demonstration, notice my hips are in a straight line with those corresponding joints…which was difficult for being 4 months pregnant!)

Ok enough talking…Get up, Get Going, and “Get Your Fit On!”
